Soca Rizin Vol. 1 Album Launch

<

NEW YORK; Catalyst Entertainment was formed to provide ground-breaking Caribbean entertainment and they are pleased to bring to the world: “Soca Rizin Volume 1” Album Launch, on April 20th 2007 in New York City.

The Album covers a spectrum from traditional Soca to a flavor with a broad international appeal. Some of the tracks are mixed with R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Reggae and Reggaeton all blended with Soca that has established Catalyst Productions as one of the leading music production company’s in the Soca fraternity. The entire album was produced by Michelle Williams the only female producer in the Soca Industry and pointedly makes history as being the first Soca album produced by a woman. “Soca Rizin” includes 18 tracks with several radio/internet radio releases such as “Always On My Mind” by Mista Vybe ft. Michelle Sylvester, “Look Excuse” by Gailann, “Jah In Your Life” by Benjai, “Wine with You” by Trinity and the Title Track “Soca Rize” by Maximus Dan. These tracks and more have been a constant on playlists worldwide. They have gathered those singles, coupled them with fresh new releases and put together a solid product, which they believe will have a worldwide audience appeal based on the current success internationally.

Digital Distribution will be through Faluma.com based in Germany who is one of the biggest selling international Soca Distributors in the world. The album will available for sale on iTunes, Yahoo Music, Napster.com, AOL Music and other digital carriers in mp3’s and ring tones thru Faluma.com. The physical album will be distributed by Catalyst Records but will be sold by several retailers from Germany (including Faluma), Trinidad, London, Canada, Japan and the US, to name a few. Catalyst have already embarked on an extensive marketing campaign to promote the compilation album, of which they started press internationally since late 2006 to get the “buzz” going.

The Launch will be produced by RASFM Productions LLC. Their goal is to continue to promote our music and culture in its truest form and use their experience, diverse vision and expertise to make this event a success. This event will feature performances by some of the leading Caribbean Artists performing their tracks off of the album, Video Premiere of “On The Road” featuring Esssence and Miche, Special Presentation by Coskel University, networking with the movers and shakers in our industry and much more. The Event will be held at Tropical Sunset Hall in Brooklyn NY on April 20th 2007 and is sponsored by Tropicalfete.com, 411 Caribbean Magazine, EZONE Magazine, Coskel University, Islandmix.com, Trinijunglejuice.com, Fetenet.com, Trinisceneny.com, Ezone Magazine and C.A.S.A. INC

This is the first event of its kind in the United States creatively and conceptually in our culture. The time is right! Never before has Caribbean music, more importantly Soca music experienced so much of a spotlight. It’s very clear that record label executives and music moguls have begun to take Soca and Caribbean music on a whole, as a new and fresh addition to the music industry that can actually bring in revenue. The successes of Rihanna and Rupee (Barbados), KMC and Machel Montano (Trinidad), Kevin Lyttle and Jamesy P (St. Vincent)… it’s clear that the art form is on the “rise”.
