Trinidad - Feb 2010: KICKER FILMS IN ASSOCIATION WITH GENERATOR ENTERTAINMENT UK TO SHOOT "SCANDALOUS!" A SOCA-BOLLYWOOD MOVIE FEATURING THE MUSIC OF MACHEL MONTANO.

"Scandalous!" is a soca Bollywood movie being produced by Kicker Films in association with Generator Entertainment UK.



A love story set in Trinidad and Tobago at carnival, "Scandalous!" features the music of Machel Montano. Montano is attached to play the male lead and is making new music for the movie which will also incorporate Indian sounds.



On Carnival Monday and Tuesday, a second unit crew will be shooting footage of revelers. The producers intend to use the footage to enhance their depiction of carnival in the movie. Principal photography is set to begin later in the year.



The script and project has already won recognition. The script won the Bahamas International Film Festival's Screenplay Contest and is currently a finalist for the Indian Film Festival of LA development grant. "Scandalous!" is the only project being shot outside of the US or India to receive consideration for the grant.



The movie is being produced by Kicker Films, a new New York based company run by Caribbean producers whose mission is to produce Caribbean content for the global market.



Company principal Ancil McKain is a Trinidad and Tobago born producer and film editor and lead producer on the movie "Scandalous!"



Company principal Claire Ince is "Scandalous!"' screenwriter/producer.



From Generator Entertainment, Simon Bosanquet is a UK-based producer who produced the Emmy winning "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" starring Geoffrey Rush and Charlize Theron.
